01What ASV supplies

People who know, not only people who label.

Every expert in the pool answered the same nine-step application: where they live and grew up, their languages and how well they speak them, their education, their work, their expertise, their setup and when they can work.

    Native speakers

    Fluent speakers of African languages and their regional varieties, and of the other languages the pool speaks well, with their level and their dialects.

  • 02

    Domain experts

    People who do the work for a living, and the degrees behind it. The application asks for up to five areas of expertise, strongest first.

    Local knowledge

    People who live in, or grew up in, a particular country, to judge names, money, places and speech the way a local would.

    Task authors

    Experts who author tasks that challenge frontier AI, as in the projects ASV has run.

02How a project runs

From your brief to the people doing it.

    You tell ASV what you need.

    The task, the expertise or languages it calls for, the countries that matter, how many people, and when.

  2. 02

    ASV finds the people.

    ASV’s admins search the pool on those answers (expertise, languages, country, availability, setup) and read the profiles that fit.

  3. 03

    Each expert opts in.

    ASV tells the people who fit what the project involves. Each decides whether to take part, and whether you may see their profile.

  4. 04

    ASV runs it with you.

    The people who said yes do the work, under terms agreed for the project.
